I've heard many times that you could figure out dog's spine status by watching it and judging it's phenotype. Especially topline could fool us to think is dog healthy or not. Of course dog's outlook could tell us if dog is in pain and after that we can find out is pain coming from bones or elsewhere. Anyhow, I'd like to remind that flat or curvy topline, body proportions or sloping croup by themselves don't tell us if dog is having some sort of spine abnormality or not!
I've collected photos of some LTV examined whippets so you could see this with your own eyes. I have permission to use these dogs as examples.
I've said this many times before and I'll say it again: you can't know is there spine abnormalities or not if dog isn't x-rayed.
